A few days ago there was a leak, thanks to which we learned the approximate time required to complete the main story of Hogwarts Legacy. According to reports at the time, the main storyline will take us about 35 hours, while with all the side activities and searching for collectibles the game will take up to twice as much time. This is certainly very good news for those who count on a lot of stories in the game.
A little more light on the story layer of Hogwarts Legacy was shed by Moira Squier, the narrative director and head writer of the project. In an interview with GamesRadar+ she announced that the title will offer an extensive story and more than 100 side missions that will have an impact on the main storyline.
“The main storyline is complicated and engaging, and involves a variety of different characters and viewpoints, but by giving the player choice moments throughout the game, we allow them to tell their own version of that epic story. Even the side quests, of which there are over 100, allow the player to manipulate the main campaign by virtue of the experiences they’ve had. Interacting with someone in a side quest will impact how you interact with them in the main storyline – and vice versa. The order in which the player chooses to complete these quests will impact their story and game. Everything is interconnected,” explains Squier.
Avalanche Software’s work was recently made available before the release to selected media outlets, which were able to capture parts of the gameplay on video footage. You can watch selected gameplays below.
Finally, let us remind you that Hogwarts Legacy will launch on February 10, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will arrive a little later – on April 4. On July 25, meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch edition will come out.
